Detailed Itinerary
DAY 01 : AIRPORT / COLOMBO
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport , met by "Don Voyage" Representatives and proceed to hotel in Hotel in Colombo.
p.m. City and Shopping.

CITY
The City Tour will include places of Tourist interest such as Old parliament, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Buddhist Hindu Temple and Town Hall.

SHOPPING
Shopping at Odel, House of Fashion, Bare foot and etc.

Overnight stay at Hotel Ceylon Continental - Colombo. (05 Star )

DAY 02 : COLOMBO / GALLE / TANGALLE
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Tangalle. En route visit Turtle Hatchery

TURTLE HATCHERY
Projects have been launched to conserve the population of turtles that are reaching extinction and such projects are found along the southern coast of Sri Lanka where turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. The turtle digs a hole on the Beach, Lays hers eggs and covers it with sand where it is supposed to, incubate by the heat of the sun. What

often happens is, the eggs are dug out by fisherman and sold to people who consume them.But now the eggs are bought up by the conservation projects and are hatched the Natural way in enclosed areas where the Birds don’t have a chance of picking them up and the babies are let in to the sea after two days at night time which offers them a better chance of survival.

Next Vist Galle Dutch Fortress..

the best preserved in the island. A visit to the fortress and to watch the sunset from the rampart is an experience unforgettable.The oldest Protestant church in the country called the ‘Groote Kirk’ built by the Dutch is located inside the Fort. It is situated close to New Oriental Hotel also built by them as the Governor’s Residence in 1684.

DAY 03 : TANGALLE / YALA
Breakfast at Hotel . Leave for Yala.En route visit Kirinda

KIRINDA
The temple of the Kirinda marks the place where Princes Viharamaha Devi landed when her Father, a King of Kelaniya, set her adrift on a Golden Boat in the Indian Ocean.
The King who tortured to death a member of the Sanga believed that the subsequent sea inundation that consumed a great part of his Kingdom was the punishment that came as Roth of the Gods, which could be atoned only by sacrificing his Daughter.
However the princes who survived and came Ashore in the Southeast Point of Kirinda was wedded by the King Kawantissa who ruled in that region and their son was the famous King Dutugemunu who succeeded in liberating Sri Lanka from the Indians and also repulsed many invasions.

P.m. safari at yala National park.

RUHUNUN NATIONAL PARK.
visit Ruhunu National Park at Yala. This will include a Safari tour by jeep with a jungle tracker, where you can see animals in the Jungle; including elephants , Bears, Wild boar, Dear, Buffalo, Monkeys and many other animals if you are lucky, leopards too. You also could see different species of birds.

It’s a small experience for bird watch lovers.

DAY 04 : YALA / ELLA
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Ella Adventure Park. p.m. Treks at Ella Adventure Park

TREKS
This is a soft adventure covering various terrains like rainforest, scrub jungle, riverine forests and pigmy forest. Follow the tracks and spoor of animals as you hike through rugged rocky outcrops and open savanna plains. Set your own pace, fast or slow - oe pause... take a deep breath and savour the beauty arrounds you...

DAY 05 : ELLA / HORTON PLAINS / NUWARA ELIYA
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Horton Plains.

HORTON PLAINS
Horton Plains situated 7200 feet above sea level covers an area of 7000 acres. Cool water springs which are the starting points of many rivers are found here. This plains formally called the Mahaweli Plains was renamed after the second British Governor of Sri Lanka who was Robert Wilmot Horton.

One of the greatest Nature walks could be done at Horton Plains.Walking through rhododendron, Giant fern and occasionally crossing a brooke you arrive at Bakers Fall which is named after Thomas William Baker the pioneer of farming.
You will also view the Breath Taking sight of worlds end which is a steep precipice, A sight to behold.

P.m. City Tour.
NUWARA ELIYA CITY TOUR
Drive through the little town of Nuwara Eliya observing the well-maintained buildings of colonial Architecture. Visit the busy market where the tea plantation workers rush in and out with their days provisions. Visit the lake Gregory built for generating power during the British Colonial age but now a feature that adds beauty to the city.

DAY 06 : NUWARA ELIYA / KANDY
Breakfast at Hotel . Leave for Kandy

TEA FACTORY
Visit a Tea Plantation and a Tea Factory en route. Sri Lanka being famous for its “Ceylon Tea” adding cheer to many the world over for more than a century.

P.m. Visit art and craft centre and Gem Bureau where you will be shown a documentary film on how Sri Lankan Gem mining is traditionally done .

enjoy a typical Sri Lankan Cultural Show of Drumming Dancing music and fire walking.

TEMPLE OF THE TOOTH OF RELIC
Visit the Temple of the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha. This temple, the most important one for The Sri Lankan Buddhists was built in the 16th Century A.D. solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic.

Sight seeing of kandy including Upper Lake Drive.

DAY 07 : KANDY / KITHULGALA
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for visit Botanical Gardens.

BOTANICAL GARDEN
Visit the Botanical Garden Peradeniya. Which was a pleasure garden of a Kandyan King of the 16th Century and later made in to a Botanical Garden during the British regime.

Next proceed to Pinnawala

PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE
Elephant Orphanage, the foster – home of elephants of different age and size feeding, bathing, playing together and even mating. These have been found injured or left abandoned in the wilderness. There are even little baby calves born in captivity.

Proceed to Kithulgala.

DAY 08 : KITHULGALA / NEGOMBO
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Nature walk at Bandara Kele.

NATURE WALK – KITHULGALA.
Across the Kelani River Kithul Gala lies a patch of Nature Reserve which is so rich in Bird Life and Natural Beauty. Crossing the River on a premitive canoe you enter this thickly wooded sanctuary where you will see Birds butter flies, lizards, Frogs, Fish and even the Tarantula Spider.

WHITE WATER RAFTING
Fun and excitement of white water rafting down the kelani River rated at 2 / 3 is indeed a great experience. Clearing seven rapids over a run of six kilometers and passing the Film site of the famous Film Bridge on the River Kwaii ( Where the Bridge was Blasted)

proceed to Negombo.En route visit Negombo Fishing Village

NEGOMBO
The fishing village of Negombo has turned out to be a very popular Tourist Beach Resort, for its Golden Sun kissed Beach that’s fringed with Palm Groves. The amazing fact is that the development of the tourist industry has had no influence to change the originality of the quiet fishing village or the Life style of the inhabitants.
